Most baby shower themes lean toward florals or nursery animals, so it was a pleasure to provide creative direction for a galaxy-themed event. I developed a complete suite of assets for the client, ranging from photo backdrops to thank you cards. The invitations were the most crucial component, as they establish the initial visual tone for the event.

To communicate a sense of “girl” without being overly feminine, I established a poppy palette inspired by real galaxy images. The colors I pulled—pink, aqua, purple, and marigold—are playful yet sophisticated. Paired with chunky uppercase letters and a playful script font, the typography system ensures the design reads “baby shower” rather than science fiction.
